Our client, a successful and well-established D2C online ladies fashion brand, is looking to recruit a fashion-obsessed Buying Admin Assistant to support the senior buying teams. The successful candidate will ideally have a degree in Fashion Buying and Merchandising and at least 6 months experience within a Buying Admin role for a fashion brand and be career-minded to develop to Assistant Buyer or Buyer.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supplier communication—regularly contacting suppliers, chasing orders and keeping deliveries on schedule.
  • Critical path management—tracking product development and delivery deadlines and ensuring suppliers stay on schedule.
  • Sample management—organising production samples and ensuring they are ready for fit sessions and sign-off.
  • Fit sessions—attending fittings, taking/implementing comments and helping move products through development.
  • Product development—BAAs can become involved in developing their own styles, taking inspiration from Pinterest, catwalks, influencers and trend forecasts.
  • Trend research/product awareness—contributing ideas for new developments and understanding upcoming trends.
  • Daily trading/product performance—some BAAs have responsibility extending from development through to sign-off and daily trading.
  • Supplier relationships—building strong relationships with factories/suppliers and communicating amendments or issues.
  • General buying administration—supporting Buyers and Assistant Buyers with the day-to-day running of their categories.

The successful candidate must have at least 6 months+ experience working as a BAA for an online fast fashion brand, a strong passion and interest in women's fashion, and be career-minded to be a future fashion Assistant Buyer or Buyer. Able to work full time, head office based in Manchester.
