Our client, a successful ladieswear brand, is looking to recruit a creative and commercially minded Womenswear Print & Graphic Designer to join their growing design team. You'll create original print, graphic, placement, and branding concepts that reflect seasonal trends, customer insight, and their brand identity. With a strong eye for colour, typography, and garment application, you'll combine creative vision with excellent technical skills to deliver innovative designs in a fast-paced fashion environment. Successful candidates will have experience in working for a women's brand or supplier with print repeats, colourways, and garment placement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and interpret global fashion, print, graphic, colour, and cultural trends.
- Develop seasonal print and graphic concepts that align with the brand aesthetic and customer.
- Design all-over prints, engineered prints, placement graphics, embroideries, badges, slogans, and typography.
- Produce commercially relevant collections across multiple womenswear categories.
- Create repeat patterns and prepare artwork for production using industry-standard software.
- Collaborate closely with the wider design, garment technology, and product development teams.
- Liaise with suppliers to develop artwork, colour separations, and strike-offs.
- Review print samples and approve colour and artwork amendments.
- Ensure all artwork is production-ready and meets critical path deadlines.
- Maintain competitor awareness and emerging market trends.
Skills & Experience | Essential:
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Textile Design, Fashion Print, Graphic Design, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience as a Print & Graphic Designer within a fashion retailer, supplier, or brand.
- Excellent Adobe Creative Suite skills, particularly Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Strong understanding of print repeats, colourways, and garment placement.
- Excellent hand-drawing and digital illustration skills.
- Strong typography and graphic design capability.
- Commercial awareness with the ability to balance creativity and customer appeal.
- Excellent colour perception and trend interpretation.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Experience designing across jersey, casualwear, sleepwear, knitwear, or woven categories.
- Knowledge of digital print and screen-print production methods.
- Experience working with international factories and suppliers.
- Familiarity with CAD management systems and PLM software.
- Understanding of sustainability within print development, including responsible materials and print techniques.
