About the role
We are seeking for a Stock Controller for our Creed counter in Selfridges W1, with a passion for luxury, the drive to make a difference and the desire to shape the future of our business.
This is a full‑time role 5 days, 37.5 hours per week.
Purpose of the role
The Stock Controller is responsible for implementing and maintaining effective stock management procedures and processes supporting the instore sales team to ensure sales and service targets are met.

- The Stock Controller will report into the Business Manager
Key responsibilities
Including but not limited to
- Management of stock and stockroom space in store.
- Analysis of daily and weekly Stock Reports for Selfridges
- Lead Biannual Stock take as defined by host store.
- Undertake daily/weekly stock checks to ensure stock accuracy.
- Process all deliveries of stock and consumables.
- Communicate professionally and effectively with all stakeholders.
- Maintain high standards of stock management in the store
- Submit stock requests and NSV orders on a weekly basis for all brands and to reflect any promotional calendar in store activity
- Build collaborative relationships with Head Office and Warehouse Teams and communicate with them on a regular basis
- Develop a good relationship with store management and all sales staff.
- Develop a good knowledge of individual store systems.
- Maintain up-to-date accurate records for all stock related paperwork
- Developing and maintaining a process for returns (RGAs) including the creation of a defined area in the storeroom for returns/credits.
This area will include all out of date, damaged and unsaleable goods.
- Comply with Orange Square and in store policies, including grooming guidelines at all times.
Skills/Experience desired
- Previous stock management experience ideally within the retail industry
- Highly organised team player, able to communicate with colleagues at all levels.
- Able to demonstrate a pro‑active attitude and flexible approach.
- Excellent time management, organisation, and prioritising skills.
- Good ability to use MS Office programs: Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Experience using stock management systems advantageous.
