About the role

Exceed sell in and sell out goals across all Orange Square Brands whilst championing our brand values in all areas of the business. Collaborate across multiple departments including Marketing, Supply Chain, Store Design/Visual Merchandising, Finance and Global to ensure we grow ahead of the market in a profitable and sustainable way. Build best in class retailer relationships and working methods to ensure we maximise all business opportunities from a sales, operations and marketing perspective. Influence and negotiate with the retailers to ensure that our brands are optimised as part of our business partnership. Customer obsessed, both from a retailer perspective as well as end customer. This involves constantly monitoring and adapting to changing trends and needs within the industry. Constantly review what is happening in the market, feeding back new and innovative initiatives to the teams/sharing learnings whilst feeding into future strategies.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities

  • To exceed Sales Targets and support with forecasting future growth
  • Work with retailers and the retail team to exceed our retail sales goals whilst ensuring accurate forecasting alongside the National Field Sales Manager.
  • Exceed Sell-In targets by retailer through accurately forecasting sales, retailer mix and product mix alongside Finance and Supply Chain.
  • Feedback throughout the month regarding performance, what is driving that performance vs. expectation and sharing all opportunities throughout the months.
  • Create retailer calendar plans alongside marketing to maximise our impact on the industry to drive market share gains.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain to ensure successful achievement of our forecast accuracy targets and manage stock both in our warehouse and the retailers to a higher level of efficiency.
  • Nurture the retailer relationships to ensure we manage the business in a high touch manner whilst ensuring we delivery our brand goals as well as those specific to that retailer.
  • Conduct regular market visits and online store walks to ensure full awareness of activities in the market and work closely with the National Field Sales Manager to understand Commercial to support our retail in-store teams.
  • Lead, manage and develop the Commercial Analyst.
  • Sundry other projects as requested by the Sales & Education Director.

Qualifications / Skills / Requirements

  • Successful track record in achievement of setting and achieving forecasted sales (Preferably previous National Accounts experience)
  • Proven 'Can do' attitude that results in a culture of constant improvements to processes, ways of working and professional development.
  • Strong negotiation, influencing, presentation skills and be able to demonstrate emotional intelligence to collaborate with retail partners and retail teams to achieve/exceed goals.
  • Strong commercial and numeracy expertise to best support retail relations and growth.
  • Strong Excel capabilities.
  • Team player who works alongside others from different teams and levels of seniority to achieve goals.

This role reports directly to the Sales & Education Director. This role is London Office based (EC1) at least three days per week with flexibility to work from home - one - two days per week, subject to change. Role includes travel across the UK and Ireland.
