What You'll Be Doing

You will lead the development, launch and delivery of an ambitious new digital education programme for secondary schools across the UK, helping young people aged 11-18 develop a greater understanding of Parliament, democracy and how they can participate in public life.

Working from a brand-new Education Outreach Digital Suite at Westminster, you will create inspiring live and pre-recorded learning experiences designed to reach hundreds of thousands of students nationwide.

A key part of the role will be transforming the programme vision into a successful, scalable delivery model.

You will design and develop curriculum-linked educational content, including a democracy programme, a post-16 study week and supporting learning resources.

Once launched, you will be responsible for keeping content fresh, relevant and engaging, identifying new opportunities to expand the programme's reach and impact.

As one of the programme's lead educators, you will deliver engaging live-to-camera and recorded sessions, bringing Parliament to life for young audiences.

You will work closely with Members of both Houses, parliamentary colleagues and guest speakers to create high-quality educational experiences that inspire participation and learning.

You will also manage an Outreach Officer and collaborate with colleagues across the wider Education and Engagement Team, including those responsible for primary programmes, special events and video production.

Strong project management skills will be essential as you oversee programme delivery, monitor performance and reporting, support the ongoing development of the outreach offer, and help ensure the programme meets its participation and engagement targets.

What We're Looking For

  • Education Programme Management - Experience of designing and managing large-scale education programmes for school-aged children.
  • Digital Programming
  • Skills in digital creation of education programming including delivery.
  • Delivery skills include live to camera (in studio settings) and for pre-recorded video content to engage thousands of young people in one session.
  • Communication - Highly developed and practiced skills in delivering education sessions to secondary school-aged children.
  • Education Knowledge - Knowledge in learning theory and how this can be applied through digital programming for school-aged children across all four nations.
  • Stakeholder Engagement - Experience of working with stakeholders across a variety of departments including VIP guests.
  • Inclusion and Diversity - Skills in making educational programming inclusive to all audiences and inclusive line management.
