The Role
We’re on the lookout for enthusiastic, dynamic Visitor Engagement Assistants (VEAs) to join our Visitor Experience Team at the iconic Houses of Parliament. In this exciting front-line role, you’ll welcome guests from all over the world, deliver inspiring tours and talks, and open the doors of the Palace of Westminster to the public — making every visit unforgettable.
Some of the responsibilities for this role include:
- Welcome visitors from around the world to the iconic UK Parliament, provide information, and assist them to their destinations, managing any specific access requirements. Ensure that you are providing a world-class welcome to all visitors to Parliament, proactively working to exceed expectation.
- Offer meaningful and rich visitor experiences to all audiences, including UK citizens, overseas visitors and those who are disengaged from mainstream politics.
- Lead by example by working collaboratively and proactively within a large team, always upholding agreed standard or presentation and service.
- Work alongside the security, banqueting and events teams to manage visitor access and flow through the building.
- Support the work of the wider Chamber and Participation team as required, including public engagement events and special occasions.
