The Opportunity
We're looking for a Senior Delivery Manager to help shape and deliver Parliament's digital future.
As a Senior Delivery Manager, you will lead the successful delivery of high-value digital products through empowered, high-performing teams. You'll be responsible for driving delivery in complex environments, balancing evolving user needs, strategic priorities, and multiple interdependencies to ensure successful outcomes.
Working across multidisciplinary teams within our Value Streams, you will oversee the planning, coordination, and delivery of digital products and services against agreed outcomes, timelines, and quality standards. Our Value Streams encompass products and programmes across their full lifecycle - from shaping and enhancement through to transformation - covering platforms, infrastructure, software and business processes.
You'll champion user-centred, iterative delivery approaches, enabling teams to deliver value quickly while maintaining a focus on long-term strategic goals. Through coaching and mentoring, you'll help teams adopt and embed agile ways of working, creating the conditions for continuous improvement and regular delivery of value.
A key aspect of the role is building strong stakeholder relationships. You'll help align expectations with agile delivery principles, communicate complex delivery information clearly, and provide meaningful insights that support effective decision-making at all levels.
As part of the Digital Delivery team and the wider delivery community of practice, you'll play an important role in promoting delivery excellence across PDS. You'll contribute to the growth and development of the delivery profession by coaching colleagues, sharing best practice, and helping to develop our future delivery talent.
What You Need
If you have an excellent understanding of Agile principles, with experience applying appropriate delivery methods, facilitating agile ceremonies, and supporting iterative delivery in cross-functional teams, we'd love to hear from you. You'll also bring:
Demonstrated ability to plan and organise effectively to provide delivery confidence, including prioritising tasks, maintaining delivery roadmaps, meeting deadlines, and adapting to changing workloads.
Proven track record of leading the delivery of complex, high-impact digital products and services in ambiguous, fast-changing environments ensuring outcomes meet user needs, strategic objectives, and quality standards.
Proven ability to drive continuous improvement by identifying and addressing inefficiencies, guiding teams through process change, and managing delivery flow, pace, and dependencies to achieve successful outcomes.
Proven ability to build strong working relationships, foster a positive team culture, and create an empowering environment for collaboration that builds a delivery culture where we keep our promises while championing equality, diversity and inclusion.

Strong working knowledge of commercial and financial processes, including supporting contract renewals, financial tracking, and reporting.
The ability to pass security clearance, backed by the right to work in the UK

The Digital Delivery team is a new function in the Parliamentary Digital Service, bringing together the capabilities needed from across PDS to form lean, collaborative, multi-disciplinary teams that manage the full lifecycle of our products.
