As an Education and Engagement Assistant at the UK Parliament, you will help bring democracy to life for thousands of young people visiting the iconic Palace of Westminster each year. This role offers the opportunity to deliver engaging educational experiences in one of the UK's most historic and influential settings, inspiring students aged 5‑18 to understand the role of Parliament and its impact on society. You will warmly welcome school groups, lead interactive tours and workshops, introduce visitors to the Story of Parliament immersive experience, and help create a memorable learning environment beyond the classroom.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging educational experiences and lead interactive tours and workshops to school groups visiting the Palace of Westminster.
  • Present educational content to audiences aged 5–18, introducing visitors to the Story of Parliament immersive experience.
  • Support the day‑to‑day operation of the Parliamentary Education Centre, preparing learning spaces, maintaining resources, assisting with bookings and administration.
  • Work closely with colleagues and security teams to ensure every visit is safe, welcoming and well organised.
