Senior Garment Technologist – HOCB
Monday – Friday 9am-5pm

We are looking to expand our team and have a new role which combines a Senior Product Developer/Garment Technologist role.
Position overview:
This is a new technical role working within the Product Development team but will involve liaising closely with all other teams. You will be responsible for the general schedule and technical development of each collection from design stage, to the sealing of last sample.
Major responsibilities included but not restricted to:
Liaise with all teams to ensure they are following the critical path.
Work with the designers and design team to ensure collections are realistic and achievable at sketching stage.
Handling fabrics to ensure they are appropriate for the chosen design as well as MOQ and lead times are considered.
Helping Product Development team to create tech packs with informed construction knowledge.
Deciding on appropriate finishes, construction and help chose with suitable hardware and supplementary fabric for each piece.
Proofreading tech pack so that all visible issues and errors are dealt with at that stage.
Have a clear overview of each collection to make the process run smoothly.
Knowledge of how to improve the quality of garments to a higher level.
Work with the in-house computer system to liaise with offshore factories to answer queries on technical specs.
Lead fit meeting for the collections you are overseeing.
Working with Garment Technician to give fit comments to the different sampling teams, through text, pictures and diagrams.
Ensure technical packs are kept up to date and accurate after fittings and range reviews.
Monitor sampling teams so they are aware of scheduling.
Potential visits to off-shore factories.
Skills Required:
• Proficient in Excel, basic illustrator and quick to pick up new computer systems
• Confident in garment construction and pattern cutting techniques
• Excellent fabric knowledge
• Knowledge of how to improve the quality of garments to a higher level.
• Comfortable working to a strict schedule as well as setting schedules for different teams
• Proof reading to amend technical packs for different collections.
• Problem solving abilities to address issue before they reach sampling as well as issues occurred during the sampling stage.
• Able to measure garment accurately
• 8+ years of experience in a similar or complimentary role
