Role Overview
We are seeking two Junior Structural & Civil Engineers to support the delivery of major nuclear new build projects, including Hinkley Point C and Sizewell C.
- The first position will allow the successful candidate will work closely with suppliers and manufacturing partners to ensure that structural and mechanical components are produced in accordance with technical specifications, quality requirements, project schedules, and nuclear industry standards.
- The second position will contribute to the development, review, and update of Civil Engineering Technical Specifications (Books of Technical Specifications) covering structural and civil works for nuclear facilities.
The salary for this position ranges from £ 30 000 to £ 35 000 gross per year, depending on your experience and qualifications.
These full time positions are to be filled in Bristol.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Recent graduate or up to 2 years of professional experience.
- Basic understanding of structural steel, reinforced concrete, or mechanical equipment manufacturing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to work in multidisciplinary and international environments.
- Safety-focused mindset.
- Organised and methodical approach to work.
- Training in supplier surveillance and manufacturing oversight.
- Mentoring by experienced engineering and quality professionals.
- Support towards professional registration and Chartered Engineer status.
- Development of expertise in nuclear quality, manufacturing assurance, and project delivery.
