Working under the direction of the Account Director and/or Senior Account Manager, the Account Manager (SEO) plays a key role in supporting the management of a portfolio of clients, bringing an innovative and strategic approach to their work, to deliver continuous improvement and successful campaigns to their client base. The Account Manager (SEO) is responsible for leading the strategic and tactical implementation of SEO campaigns for clients, ensuring measurable results and ROI.

- Account management (65%)
- Oversee and manage multiple client SEO accounts, ensuring campaign goals, KPIs and deliverables are met.
- Understand your client’s agreed Statement of Work and ensure that all services in scope are executed and delivered to the highest quality.
- Work alongside colleagues to confidently develop, implement and refine SEO strategies tailored to client goals, with a focus on driving organic growth.
- Coordinate internal teams to execute against SEO plans efficiently and effectively.
- Ensure the correct management of your client’s budgets, adhering to internal processes to ensure no over-or under-spend on accounts.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and prepare detailed reports to track progress and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, algorithm changes, and best practices to proactively adjust strategy and maintain competitive advantage.
- Client relationships (20%)
- Serve as the primary point of contact for SEO clients, building strong, trusted partnerships.
- Engage with, and build rapport and relationships with your clients, ensuring their business objectives are supported by the agency.
- Present strategic plans, reports, and performance insights in a way that is clear and meaningful to clients of varying technical understanding.
- Conduct regular check-ins, status updates and quarterly business reviews to ensure alignment and satisfaction.
- Handle client feedback, challenges and objections professionally and promptly, escalating internally when necessary.
- Business development (5%)
- Take an active role in supporting the business to hit and surpass its financial turnover and revenue targets.
- Assist with business development by having ideas when it comes to House Digital's product / service offering.
- Identify opportunities to grow client accounts through upselling and cross-selling additional SEO or digital marketing services.
- Support new business pitches with SEO insights, projections and proposal input.
- People & culture (10%)

- Mentor and support Digital Marketing Executives working on your accounts.

- Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments (e.g. Paid Media, Content, Design & Digital PR) to ensure integrated campaigns.
- Ensure that timesheets are completed accurately and on time.

- 2+ years of hands-on SEO experience in an agency or in-house role.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills – able to translate SEO insights into meaningful business recommendations.
