House Digital is an award-winning, prolific North Top 50 Digital Agency. We are a full-service digital marketing and training company, delivering strategic, innovative and results-driven solutions. We specialise in integrated, multi-channel campaigns and operate heavily in ecommerce. We have a scientific approach to digital marketing, with a huge emphasis on hypothesis testing and learning, to be better able to predict results for our clients.
As Project Manager, your role is to ensure the organised, on-time delivery of website and digital projects, by acting as the glue between clients, internal specialists, and outsourced providers. You are accountable for project planning, client communication, and maintaining momentum across deliverables.
You will work closely with account managers, designers, developers, and performance specialists to scope, schedule, and deliver projects that meet client expectations, stay within budget, and adhere to high-quality standards. Your success is measured not just in what’s delivered, but how well it’s delivered; on time, in scope, and stress-free for all involved.
Responsibilities:
- Project Planning & Delivery (60%): Define project scope, deliverables, timelines, budgets and responsibilities, ensuring alignment between client expectations and internal capacity. Build and maintain project plans using House Digital’s internal tools and time-tracking systems. Monitor progress across both internal and external teams, ensuring projects hit key milestones and deadlines. Manage scope creep and raise risks proactively, ensuring clarity and alignment with the original brief. Coordinate internal resources (Design, Content, SEO, Paid Advertising) and third-party partners for seamless execution. Oversee testing, QA and final project sign-off procedures. Maintain accurate project documentation, including schedules, meeting notes and budget tracking.
- Client Communication & Management (20%): Act as the primary project contact for clients during delivery phases. Communicate timelines, blockers, decisions and milestones in a clear, calm and professional manner. Handle client queries, feedback, and challenges constructively, escalating internally when needed. Build trusted, collaborative relationships through reliability, honesty and proactive support.
- Collaboration & Workflow (10%): Collaborate cross-functionally with Design, Content, SEO, Paid Advertising, and Development teams. Facilitate internal team standups or sprint planning meetings to ensure alignment. Lead retrospectives and post-project reviews to drive future improvements. Assign tasks and balance workloads, supporting the Head of Projects and Head of Operations with broader resource planning.
- People & Culture (10%): Uphold the House Digital values: being totally transparent, getting better every day, creating a family unit, and prioritising fun. Contribute to internal process improvements and training around project delivery. Support a culture of calm, quality-first project delivery, even when deadlines are tight. Contribute to team wellbeing by ensuring projects are scoped and managed with care. Ensure that timesheets are completed accurately and on time.
Requirements:
- 2+ years’ experience managing website or digital projects, ideally within an agency environment.
- Proven ability to plan, deliver and close complex website builds and migration projects.
- Comfortable owning communication with clients, from briefing through to final sign-off.
- A solid understanding of how website projects move from brief through to launch (design, build, QA, go-live).
- Understanding of SEO fundamentals and how they intersect with website development.
- Competent in using project management tools and platforms (e.g., ClickUp, Asana, Trello, or similar).
- Strong attention to detail, time management and problem-solving mindset.
Delivery Mindset & Working Style:
- Comfortable holding others accountable to deadlines.
- Highly organised with strong follow-up discipline.
- Able to maintain momentum across multiple concurrent projects.
- Proactive in chasing actions and removing blockers.
- Calm under pressure, with the ability to keep projects moving even when priorities shift.
Success Measures:
- Projects completed on time, within budget and to agreed scope.
- Clear project documentation, visible progress, and strong stakeholder alignment.
- High-quality outputs with minimal client revisions or rework needed.
- Positive client feedback regarding communication, delivery and confidence in outcomes.
- Positive feedback from team members and Heads of Departments.
- Contribution to improved delivery processes and documentation.
