An established real estate business with a growing BTR portfolio is seeking an Asset Management Associate to join its Leeds-based Asset Management team. This is a detail-driven role focused on high-quality reporting and analysis, supporting Asset Managers with clear, accurate and well-presented information for internal and client decision-making. The position would suit someone highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint, with strong organisational skills and a keen eye for presentation quality. The role will be based in the Leeds office 3/5 days a week with 2 days working from home.

The Role

Working as part of a collaborative Asset Management team, you will be responsible for preparing weekly, month-end and quarterly reporting packs, translating Excel-based analysis into professional, client-ready PowerPoint outputs. You will work closely with Asset Managers, Analysts, Finance and Property Management teams to ensure reporting is accurate, consistent and delivered on time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reporting & Data Preparation
    • Prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly asset management reporting packs to a high presentation standard.
    • Extract, validate and sense-check financial and operational data from Excel models, internal trackers and property management systems.
    • Convert Excel tables, charts and KPIs into clear, professional PowerPoint slides, maintaining agreed formats and branding.
    • Maintain and update standardised reporting templates in line with investor and client requirements.
    • Ensure consistency and data integrity across reporting periods.
  • Asset Management Support
    • Support Asset Managers with financial performance summaries, budget vs forecast analysis, variance analysis, occupancy, leasing and rent performance dashboards, OPEX and service charge summaries.
    • Assist with ad hoc analysis for asset reviews, business planning and client queries.
    • Maintain organised reporting folders and robust version control.
  • Reporting Efficiency & Continuous Improvement
    • Work closely with the Asset Management Analyst to improve reporting efficiency and quality.
    • Support smarter reporting approaches, including automation where appropriate.
    • Help develop structured, repeatable reporting processes and consistent reporting frameworks.
    • Contribute ideas to streamline data flows between systems, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excel & Systems
    • Maintain Excel spreadsheets used for income tracking, cost monitoring, KPIs and budget roll-forwards.
    • Assist with data extraction from property management systems (e.g. Yardi, MRI, Qube or similar).
    • Ensure consistent use of formulas, formatting, naming conventions and file structures.
  • General Responsibilities
    • Collaborate effectively with internal teams to meet reporting deadlines.
    • Handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
    • Contribute positively to team culture and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Highly competent in Excel and PowerPoint, with strong attention to detail.

  • Able to present information clearly and professionally.
  • Experience within real estate, asset management, property or a related analytical role is advantageous.
