What the job does
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Education and Events Executive to join our team. This role is critical in enhancing the skills and knowledge of our in‑store teams across the UKI. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in makeup artistry, excellent communication skills, and a passion for teaching and mentoring a sales team. They will work closely with the Education Manager & Area Managers whilst also working with many retailers to review, adapt, and implement the best possible customer service and artistry‑led service which is aligned across the business.
Role Accountabilities
- Training and Development: Support the comprehensive training sessions for store teams, focusing on makeup artistry techniques, product knowledge, and customer service excellence. Support training programmes that align with the brand's standards and objectives, building the sales and leading through our service requirements. Provide hands‑on demonstrations in‑store and support with practical workshops to enhance the artistry skills of team members and offer in‑the‑moment feedback to support upskilling. Support and help execute showcase activations with the Education team to upskill the sales team and lead through new initiatives and launches.
- Coaching and Mentoring: Visit stores regularly to observe, coach, and support the teams in their daily operations and Artistry knowledge. Offer constructive feedback and individualised coaching to improve performance and artistry skills, performing trade tests and building confidence and knowledge to our team. Inspire and motivate team members to achieve their full potential and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
- Performance: Track and report on training progress, team performance, and store compliance with training protocols. Ensuring that all team members are up to date with their Ed App learning and e‑module completion. Identify skill gaps with store teams and report findings to Education Manager.
- Product Launches and Events: Assist training sessions for new product launches, ensuring that all team members are knowledgeable and confident in promoting and using new products. Coordinate and execute in‑store events and promotions, providing support and guidance to ensure successful execution. Support with organising and planning travel and administration tasks for the sales team to attend these training sessions.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with Area and Education Managers and other key stakeholders with the business and within the retail stores to align training initiatives with business goals. Serve as a liaison between the Education team and the stores, ensuring consistent communication and implementation of training strategies.
Skills Required
- Previous experience in a training or coaching role, preferably within the beauty or retail industry.
- Proven experience in makeup artistry, with a strong portfolio demonstrating advanced skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to travel extensively across the UKI.
- Strong organisational and time‑management skills.
- Passion for beauty, makeup, and continuous learning.
- Structured and organised but comfortable working with ambiguity, in a fast‑paced and ever‑evolving environment.
- Effective communicator, both written and verbal.
- Proactive and action orientated.
