The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 Β£ per year.

This is an exciting role for anyone who has interest in Lymphoedema. The post requires full management of Lymphoedema caseloads including being responsible and accountable for service operations and staff development with the support from the service manager. You will be leading and working in a small team of highly trained staff to deliver excellent Lymphoedema care in the Richmond locality. Additional training will be offered to successful candidates to enhance their knowledge and expertise on Lymphoedema care including staff management supported by human resources.

Main duties of the job:

  • Responsible for the Lymphoedema caseload management and clinic provisions.
  • Responsible for staff management and training development.
  • Collaborative working with healthcare professionals and other health care providers.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified RGN with current registration with NMC
  • Nursing Diploma or BSc (Hons) Community Health (DN)
  • Relevant post registration study at diploma/degree level and relevant CPD e.g. Lymphoedema management, Manual Lymphatic drainage, massage therapies
  • Physical Assessment Skills
  • Nurse Prescriber V100 or V150
  • Mentorship Preceptorship or equivalent

Knowledge:

  • Professional standards including confidentiality, clinical governance and NMC guidelines
  • Infection prevention and control standards
  • Risk assessment and management
  • Knowledge of health and safety and personal safety issues
  • Safeguarding Adults & Children
  • Understanding of the Mental Capacity Act 2005
  • Understanding of the current trends in oedema and lymphoedema management.
  • Understanding of current legislation and its implications for this role, including performance indicators and targets
  • Understanding of both the Health and Social Care agenda

Experience:

  • Experience in assessing, planning, delivering and evaluating oedema/lymphoedema patients in their own homes and in a clinic setting
  • Experience in working independently and as part of a team
  • Experience in problem solving and supporting other team members
  • Experience of mentoring students
  • Experience of managing resources to stay within the service budget
  • Experience of audit evaluation

  • Holistic assessment, core clinical and clinical reasoning skills to proactively manage patient care
  • Effective leadership skills and ability to delegate tasks to appropriately trained staff
  • Ability to lead by example, both clinically and managerially, being consistent and fair to all staff in every aspect of work

  • Effective communication skills with clients and colleagues and the ability to establish rapport with team, clients, and other agencies
  • IT literate with ability to use databases and other software packages and digital solutions with patients and in the operation of the service
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to produce well written and timely clinical records and service reports
  • Ability to lead and participate in service and organisational change
  • Ability to work under pressure, balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Ability to travel to multiple sites; car driver or can cycle to work.
