An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint a highly motivated band 6 paediatric nurse to our integrated Children’s Community Nursing Service. The role will involve working with children and young people receiving treatment for acute conditions such as short term enteral feeding, intravenous antibiotics, oxygen therapy and wound care management. The team also supports children and young people with long term conditions including oncology, complex disabilities and palliative care. Main duties of the job:
- We are seeking highly motivated band 6 children’s nurses to work within our integrated Children’s Community Nursing Service.
- Applicants need the ability to work both autonomously and within the wider nursing team.
- The role will involve working with children and young people receiving treatment for acute conditions such as short term enteral feeding, intravenous antibiotics, oxygen therapy and wound care management.
- The team also supports children and young people with long term conditions including oncology, complex disabilities and palliative care.
- In addition to this, the team also carries out continuing care assessments for children and young people within the case load and works across our special schools service.
- The successful candidate will also support our clinical nurse specialists in asthma, haemoglobinopathy and continence care.

Qualifications:
- RSCN/RNC
- 1 year nursing experience
- IV certificate
- Experience with working with children with complex needs
- Experience of working alongside multidisciplinary teams
- Experience of working with enteral feeding devices
- Up to date knowledge of safeguarding children and young people
- Ability to work autonomously
- Experience with home ventilation and tracheostomy care
