Our Financial Sponsors Coverage Group in London is looking for an off‑cycle intern to join the team for six months. This is an opportunity to build knowledge of advisory services in Investment Banking and see how capital providers such as Private Equity, Credit/Hedge funds operate in the market.
Responsibilities
- Work with experienced senior coverage officers to provide business unit analytics and support on client initiatives.
- Coordinate potential buyers lists, share details for advisory pitches, maintain data, attend internal and external meetings, and prepare ad‑hoc reports, analyses, and marketing materials.
The environment at Houlihan is collaborative and entrepreneurial and rewards analysts with substantial responsibility and interaction with senior professionals. Interns can expect meaningful one‑on‑one interaction with Managing Directors and other senior‑level bankers.
Qualifications
- Strong academic track record
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Strong quantitative, financial and analytical skills
- Demonstrated interest in Financial Sponsors and Credit hedge funds
- Self‑motivation and ability to work cooperatively with all levels of staff in a fast‑paced, demanding but ultimately rewarding environment
- Understanding of valuation theory, methodologies and applications
- Strong Excel modelling skills, including LBO and DCF
- Exceptional work ethic
