We are seeking Experienced Bench Hand Joiners / Joinery Fixers for a full-time role based primarily on‑site in Baildon, Bradford, however travel and overnight stays across the UK will be required for project installs. As well as traditional bench hand joinery, you will be responsible for expertly installing joinery components, ensuring all work meets the high standards of craftsmanship Houghtons Joinery Ltd is known for. The role will involve reading and interpreting technical drawings, assembling and fitting joinery products, collaborating closely with team members and clients, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
Base Location: Bradford
Work: UK-wide installations (travel and overnight stays required)
The Role:
- Installation of bespoke joinery and fitted furniture
- Manufacturing, assembling, and finishing high-quality, bespoke wooden products
- Operate and maintain woodworking machinery such as routers, panel saws, spindle moulders, and edge banders
- Shopfitting and on‑site joinery work
- Working from technical drawings
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship on client sites
- Representing Houghtons Joinery professionally on‑site
What We’re Looking For:
- 7+ years of experience in bench hand joinery, shopfitting or joinery installation
- Strong attention to detail and finish quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to travel nationwide
- Full UK driving licence preferred
