Hough Green Garage is a leading provider of 24-hour Breakdown & Recovery Services, proudly operating for over 40 years. We support Local Authorities, Blue Light Emergency Services, major Motoring Organisations, and private companies nationwide. Due to continued growth and new contract awards, we are expanding our Control Centre team in Widnes.
The Role
We are seeking dedicated Breakdown & Recovery Co-ordinators to join our fast-paced 24 hour Control Centre. This role requires calm, confident decision-making, especially when dealing with time-critical and emergency situations. You will be managing inbound and outbound calls, deploying recovery operators, and ensuring jobs are completed efficiently and professionally. You will interact daily with members of the public, emergency services, motoring organisations, and roadside teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and deploy recovery resources efficiently across all active jobs
- Monitor job progress through to completion
- Manage driver workloads and map nearest available resources
- Answer and manage high-volume inbound and outbound calls
- Liaise with administrative staff and recovery teams
- Raise workload issues or operational concerns with management
- Provide training and support to colleagues as required
- Handle customer enquiries professionally in person and by phone
- Ensure accurate documentation and compliant handling of personal data (GDPR)
- Conduct property searches with integrity and confidentiality
