Why This Role:

Marketing Services are integral to Hotwire’s integrated proposition, and we anticipate substantial growth in this area, particularly in Account Based Marketing (ABM), in the next three years. Working in partnership with our Rep & Comms, Data & Analytics, Content & Creative and Digital Marketing disciplines, we deliver marketing strategies that cut through to drive better brand awareness, reputation and engagement, forge stronger relationships, accelerate sales and revenue generation and retain and grow key accounts.

As an Account Director at Hotwire, you will play a pivotal role in the growth, development and profitability of strategic client accounts, with emphasis on strategic relationship building, client services excellence, commercial management and the creation and direction of highly effective marketing campaigns and initiatives. As a leader, you will be responsible for the performance and development of your team, the continued optimisation of your programs and the retention and extension of your client network.

You’ll have a proven ability to drive and win new business and balance net new opportunities with organic growth of current clients to support growth. You’ll be a creative and strategic thinker, passionate about tech, with an ability to combine skill with commercial aptitude. You’ll be able to tell compelling stories to clients, leading them through integrated marketing strategies seamlessly, with an ear to the ground for the latest innovations and changes in the industry. You’ll be a true advocate of the Hotwire way of working, championing our values and culture to inspire your team and clients alike!

Accountabilities:

Business Leadership

  1. Look after key accounts, ensuring high quality delivery and performance.
  2. Achieve results based on OKRs; deliver on financials (revenue, EBITDA, margin), client and employee satisfaction metrics, offer mix and expansion of key clients.
  3. Create, oversee, and input into strategic account plans for clients, identifying new revenue opportunities and organic growth against identified targets.
  4. Support net new business opportunities, nurture leads and understand their needs until they’re ready for broader team discussions.
  5. Be actively involved in pitches, delivering persuasive presentations to potential clients.
  6. Think with an ‘integrated mindset’, work closely and build relationships with existing comms clients and account teams to deliver game-changing ABM and Marketing Services programmes.
  7. Be an incredible client partner – able to work with a variety of tech businesses to drive growth and client delight.
  8. Be a consultative, trusted advisor for your clients to develop and maintain strong advocate relationships.
  9. Be a truly strategic thinker; own proposal development, presentation, follow up and close to create innovative work for clients.
  10. Lead on improving client delivery standards and The Hotwire Way (our client engagement model) to deliver a consistent client experience.
  11. Have strong project management skills, be a master at juggling a number of projects at once, whilst instilling senior clients with confidence and motivating your team.
  12. Measure and report on the success of campaigns & optimize approach based on real-time analytics and data.
  13. Lead ABM and Marketing Services professionals and cross-functional teams in the successful execution of offer strategies, provide clear guidance, set expectations, manage resources, and support team members in their roles.
  14. Lead with purpose and by example, get your hands dirty and be a real team player.
  15. Manage team members on accounts and coach direct line reports, driving a culture that enables current, direct and “actionable” feedback to others whilst inspiring and driving them to reach their full potential.
  16. Develop and implement clear objectives and KPIs for direct reports which align with the UK business goals/OKRs.

  1. Behave famously and engage in industry and Hotwire events (marketing and PR) as a credible thought leader.
  2. Speak passionately and develop a point of view on key topics across ABM and Marketing Services through thought leadership content.
  3. Proactively grow your network across the industry.
  4. Understand the competitive landscape and define approaches to differentiate our Marketing Services and ABM value proposition in the marketplace.

What We Are Looking For:

  1. Possess strong commercial acumen; knowing when and how best to manage the business focus alongside client deliverables; share knowledge and insight with the team and the wider business to drive growth.
  2. Have a strategic viewpoint, which you can confidently convey to clients and integrate into plans and campaigns; thinking about the upcoming months and what you can do to move your client forward seamlessly.
  3. Have a strong understanding of the integrated marketing and communications products and services available within the Hotwire business, in order to consistently think outside of plans to give your clients new and exciting ideas for campaigns that will hit business objectives and grow accounts organically.
  4. Be curious; always be in a state of ‘discovery’ with clients, confidently asking strategic questions to uncover business pain and opportunities for organic growth; ultimately building stronger client relationships based on trust and an understanding of their industry and business.
  5. Have well-established contacts under your belt and knowledge of movers and shakers.

You’ll Bring:

  1. 6+ years’ experience within the B2B Marketing and ABM space.
  2. A strong, proven track record in integrated B2B technology marketing.
  3. Excellent and proven team leadership ability with true desire to motivate and develop a team.
  4. Strategic and innovative thinking, both for clients and the consultancy.
  5. Experience working with global brands, understanding the need for localization.
  6. Superb client relationship skills.
  7. Experience of resource and budget management.
  8. An entrepreneurial outlook, backed up by solid new business experience and a strong track record in organic growth of client budgets.
  9. The ambition to truly drive forwards a thriving consultancy and nurture your team to support the consultancy goals.
  10. Experience of managing team capacity and hours – spotting over servicing and any issues which may arise from holidays etc.
  11. An ability to multi-task and keep your cool under pressure.
