Position Overview

We are looking for a highly confident and motivated individual to lead a team of Payroll Solution Consultants and Payroll Implementation Specialists in a player-coach capacity.

This individual will manage their own workload of customer onboarding and payroll change projects, while also growing and developing the team to ensure the successful onboarding of new customers onto Fourth’s payroll service and the smooth processing of payroll changes for existing accounts, such as TUPE transfers.

This individual is responsible for the day-to-day activities and guidance of their team members, fostering a cohesive and supportive working environment and providing leadership and direction; they will build great relationships and act as an ambassador for the team within the business, the company and our products.

Team Lead, Payroll Implementation Services will work closely with the appropriate members of the Professional Services Leadership team, reporting to the Director, Solution Consulting (WFM), understand the priorities for new customer onboarding and existing account payroll change requests.

Also working closely with the Payroll Solution Consultants and Payroll Implementation Specialists, ensuring that resource allocation is sufficient for each project and that the team are motivated and supported within their role and able to develop further skills.

This individual will also be a point of escalation for any customer issues relating to payroll implementation or payroll change processing.

  • Primary Responsibilities
  • Personally, managing a workload of customer onboarding and payroll change projects, including complex cases such as TUPE transfers
  • Process live payrolls as part of onboarding process new customer, validating outputs and resolving discrepancies before handover.

Administer pensions and ensure RTI accuracy, including FPS/EPS submissions, rollbacks, and EYU where required.

  • Ensuring the Payroll Solution Consultants and Payroll Implementation Specialists are enabled to deliver appropriate consultation and configuration at each phase of the customer onboarding journey
  • Sharing advice, expertise and best practice with the team to maximise the value they bring to Fourth’s customers
  • Point of escalation for any team or customer challenges relating to payroll implementation
  • Monitoring and managing resource allocation within the team across onboarding and change projects
  • Inspiring and motivating team members, coaching and developing the team’s payroll and consulting skills
  • Ensuring extreme Customer Satisfaction by keeping the customer experience at the forefront of the team’s work
  • Collaborating with the Professional Services Leadership team on change, efficiency and process improvement initiatives
  • Preferred Experience And/or Qualifications
  • Experience of payroll processing, payroll implementation, or payroll change management (e. g. TUPE transfers), ideally within the hospitality industry
  • Desire to manage and develop people
  • Knowledge and experience of coaching styles and evidence of putting these into practice
  • Ability to manage, motivate and work within a team
  • Good emotional intelligence and ability to communicate at all levels
  • Personally driven to deliver to standards of excellence
  • Be self-motivated, trustworthy and efficient with exceptional interpersonal skills
