The Director, People Partnering is a senior leadership role responsible for shaping and executing the organisation’s people strategy across multiple regions. This role acts as a trusted strategic advisor to leadership, translating business priorities into scalable people solutions. You will lead a team of HR Business Partners, ensuring excellence in organisational design, talent strategy, employee relations, and performance management across diverse, multi-country environments. The role requires balancing commercial acumen with deep HR expertise, navigating different regulatory environments, and building strong, consistent practices across global teams.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Strategic Business Partnering: Act as a key partner to executive and senior leadership teams to shape and deliver business strategy through people initiatives. Translate commercial priorities into workforce, capability, and organisational plans. Drive alignment between regional people strategies (primarily US, UK, Bulgaria) and global business objectives. Provide thought leadership on organisational effectiveness, productivity, and performance.
  • Global People Strategy & Execution: Lead the development and execution of global people programmes, ensuring consistency while allowing for local market adaptation.
  • Leadership & Team Development: Lead, develop, and mentor a team of HR Business Partners across regions; build capability within the HRBP team to operate as high-impact business advisors; coach senior leaders on leadership effectiveness, team performance, and organisational health; foster a strong, inclusive, and high-performing People function.
  • Employee Relations & Risk Management: Act as the senior escalation point for complex employee relations issues across jurisdictions; ensure compliance with local employment law (US, UK, Bulgaria) and mitigate organisational risk; establish consistent principles while navigating regional differences.
  • Talent, Performance & Succession: Partner with leadership to design and implement talent strategies including workforce planning, succession, and leadership development; drive performance management practices aligned to business outcomes; own and evolve approaches to engagement, retention, and development; ensure robust pipelines of future leaders across regions.
  • Organisational Design & Workforce Planning: Lead organisational design initiatives across functions and geographies; drive data-led workforce planning and capability shaping; ensure alignment to job architecture, career pathways, and workforce strategy.
  • Reward, Data & Insights: Responsible for shaping pay and performance philosophies, ensuring market competitiveness and internal equity; leverage data and analytics to inform decision-making and provide actionable insights; monitor trends across regions (attrition, engagement, productivity) and drive interventions.

Essential: Significant experience in senior HR Business Partnering / People leadership roles (Director or equivalent); global experience with strong knowledge of US/UK and Bulgarian employment practices; demonstrated experience supporting operations in multi-region environments; proven ability to operate at executive leadership level and influence decision-making; strong track record of leading global or multi-country HR initiatives; deep expertise across employee lifecycle: organisational design, talent, ER, performance, and change.

Preferred Experience and/or Qualifications: Experience in international SaaS organisations. Strong commercial acumen and ability to link people strategy to financial outcomes. Experience leading global HRBP teams. HR qualification (e.g., SHRM, CIPD or equivalent).
