What is a Ghostwriter

A ghost writer is somebody who writes on behalf of another person and allows them to put their name on the finished work. A ghostwriter adapts his/her writing skills to fit each client\'s needs and develop client\'s vision. Also, a ghostwriter makes recommendations on content and style whenever needed. A ghostwriter needs to be aware of this, and comfortable not receiving direct credit for their written work.

Freelance Writing Benefits

• Writing Rates: Earn between $7 and $15 per 1,000 words (plus bonuses). You\'ll be able to grow your per word rate by consistently delivering quality content. The highest tier fiction writers may have the opportunity to work in our Elite team where the rate is $20 per 1,000 words (if you\'re already writing at an Elite level, we may hire you directly for that team). Projects range from 10,000 words to up to 150,000 words each, so great earning potential.

We\'re looking to hire experienced writers;

• You\'re a great writer.
• You have experience writing and self-editing content and have at least a 10,000 words piece under your belt. Professional (paid) experience preferred.
• You understand, as a ghostwriter, that you will receive no official credit for the completed work.
• You are a native English writer and speaker residing in the US, UK, Canada and Australia. All writing must be in US English.
• You are a deadline-oriented freelance worker with a 2,000 to 3,000-word-per-day writing pace.
• You understand what readers want, and you can write to market.
• You have long-term availability. Our clients love for the same writer to create their series.
• You are available throughout the day to respond to team members and client messages on our platform.
• You are reliable, well-spoken, open to constructive criticism and a good communicator with experience building relationships with clients.

You\'ll be asked to submit your writing samples, one for each subgenre you want to write in . Samples should be between 1,000 to 3,000 words each.

All content on the application and samples will be assessed, so please double check your work before submitting. Copyrights of samples must belong to the applicant and will remain in the applicant’s possession.

For verification purposes, if hired, you may be asked to submit a copy of your resume and photo ID.
