We are looking for a friendly, experienced, and enthusiastic Food & Beverage Supervisor to join our close-knit team at our small hotel in Cornwall. This is a hands-on role, perfect for someone who loves being behind the bar, has a flair for cocktails, and enjoys supporting restaurant service while leading and inspiring a small team. You’ll be passionate about great hospitality, keen to keep learning, and excited about helping others grow. You’ll play an important part in driving high standards, creativity, and sales across our food and beverage offering. You’re enthusiastic, creative, and always keen to learn. You genuinely love hospitality, enjoy helping your team shine, and lead by example — all with a positive attitude and energy that makes every shift fun for everyone.
Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the day-to-day running of the bar and restaurant
- Delivering great bar service, from cocktails to beers, wines, and spirits
- Helping develop menus and cocktail lists
- Managing cellar, stock rotation, ordering and stock control
- Training and supporting the team
- Creating and supporting training plans to help staff progress
- Working closely with management to keep service smooth and welcoming
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a supervisory or senior food & beverage role
- Knowledge of cellar management, stock control, and ordering
- Great understanding of beers, wines, spirits, and cocktail making
- A creative approach to drinks and new ideas
- Confidence working both behind the bar and in a restaurant setting
- A good understanding of food, service, and the overall guest experience
- A genuine passion for training, learning, and developing others
- Strong communication skills and a positive leadership style
- Loves great hospitality and enjoys developing others
- Is organised, reliable, and leads by example
