Hotel Indigo Torquay is on the lookout for a dynamic Food and Beverage Manager to inspire and lead in our brand-new, highly anticipated hotel opening. Nestled along the stunning English Riviera, the hotel offers guests breathtaking views of Tor Bay and easy access to some of Torquay's most iconic beaches and walking trails, where nature can be truly appreciated.
Close to local attractions, including the historic Torre Abbey and the lively harbour, guests can also indulge in the region's renowned culinary scene featuring fresh seafood and artisanal delights. Hotel Indigo provides a unique and memorable experience, offering a tonic for the body, imagination, and soul, while capturing the spirit of this historic English seaside destination.

As a Food and Beverage Manager, your day-to-day will be driven by our Guests' needs, however you can expect to cover the following duties and responsibilities (not all encompassing):
- Reporting into the Operations Manager, leading the F&B function to elevate our overall offering and maximise profitability across both Root and Reef (Devon inspired ground floor restaurant) and The Cast (rooftop bar).
- Providing all our guests with an excellent dining and drinking experience by overseeing the full F&B Team and ensuring a seamless and coordinated approach across both venues.
- Working closely with the Executive Head Chef to develop and design menus, keeping up to date with local dining and bar trends.
- Leading recruitment and training of the F&B team, delegating where appropriate to attract, develop and retain the best talent.
We are searching for a true service superstar, someone who thrives in providing our Guests with an excellent service throughout their stay. In addition to this, we are looking for someone who has:
- Availability to work 5 shifts per week (40 hours), shift times will vary but weekend and evening availability is essential.
- Proven experience working within a restaurant or bar environment in a leadership role, such as F&B Manager, Restaurant Manager or similar within a fast-paced environment ideally for a minimum of 1-2 years.
- Strong people management skills; you will be confident in supporting and developing a large team and have experience with both recruiting and training new starters.
- Passion for providing excellent experiences for our customers, always focusing on the needs and wants of our guests and catering your service to new trends within the F&B sector.
- A lead-by-example attitude - we want the team to look to you as an example of how to continuously improve our service.
- Passion for providing luxury experiences, not shy to go above and beyond to personalise our guests' stay and provide your local wisdom to enhance their experience.
- Ability to work together in the team with guests as our centre focus.
