Hotel Indigo Torquay is looking for a Human Resources Advisor to join our growing team and bring the Hotel Indigo values to life! You'll support the day-to-day running of the HR function, including administration, HR processes, colleague initiatives, events, projects and policy guidance for managers. This is a part-time role: 24 hours per week, based onsite at Hotel Indigo Torquay, with flexibility on working days and shifts dependent on business needs.

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Support the People Plan and help create a positive colleague experience.
  • Coach and advise managers on HR policy, performance, retention and colleague matters.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding and the first 90 days for new colleagues.
  • Help identify talent and development opportunities, including early careers activity.
  • Use HR systems and data to track activity, share insights and support decisions.
  • Deliver colleague survey activity, action planning and consistent HR standards.
  • Improve HR processes and ways of working, monitoring progress against objectives.

To succeed as an HR Advisor, you will need:

  • At least 2 years' HR Advisor/generalist experience, ideally in hospitality, retail or another fast-paced service environment.
  • CIPD Level 5 is desired but not essential, a good understanding of UK employment law and best practice is essential for this role.
  • Confidence advising managers and finding practical, people-focused solutions.
  • Strong organisation, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • A proactive, resilient and confident approach, with the ability to work independently.
  • Confidence using HR systems, reporting and data to support decision-making.
  • A clear passion for building a positive, inclusive workplace culture.
