A Day in Your Neighbourhood
- Own your section: From mise-en-place to final plating, you’ll be responsible for delivering quality, consistency, and creativity during each service.
- Lead and support: Guide and mentor Commis and Demi Chefs, ensuring smooth communication, clean stations, and high morale.
- Maintain high standards: Follow recipes and presentation specs, while meeting food hygiene and safety standards every step of the way.
- Manage your resources: Monitor stock levels, place accurate orders, manage portion control, and reduce food waste.
- Share ideas: Contribute to menu development, daily specials, and plating presentations, your voice matters here.
- Stay proactive: Report faults, maintain cleanliness, and collaborate with the kitchen and service teams to keep operations running seamlessly.
What’s Your Story? You’re confident on the stove and calm under pressure, someone who leads with skill and supports with heart. You’ll thrive in this Chef de Partie role if you have:
- Experience in a busy hotel or restaurant kitchen at Demi CDP or CDP level
- Knowledge of various sections (e.g. larder, sauce, garnish, pastry)
- Passion for cooking, learning, and developing others
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Understanding of kitchen operations, food hygiene and safety procedures (including COSHH)
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays as part of a rota
- Ambition to grow and take your career to the next level
