A Day in Your Neighbourhood:

  • Lead group and event bookings end-to-end, from initial enquiry through to post-event follow-up, ensuring timely responses and meticulous attention to detail across rooming lists, contracts, billing, and special requests using Opera Cloud and relevant systems in line with brand standards.
  • Proactively manage groups and events to optimise revenue and guest experience, balancing inventory, monitoring cut-off dates, tracking pick-up and deposits, and identifying upselling opportunities, while ensuring billing accuracy and close collaboration with clients, operations, and the cluster team.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for group and event clients, building strong relationships while collaborating closely with both internal and external stakeholders-including Front of House, Food & Drink teams, Cluster Sales, clients, and guests-to deliver seamless, personalised, and experience-driven events.
  • Own the full billing lifecycle, from deposits and forecasting through to final invoicing, maintaining accurate records, managing amendments and cancellations, and applying terms and fees with clarity and consistency.
  • Work as a team player, contributing to weekly Operations and Groups meetings, preparing detailed Groups and Events summary sheets and ensuring all departments are fully aligned and ready to deliver a smooth and memorable guest journey.

  • Previous experience in events, group and event coordination, or reservations within a hotel or hospitality environment, with a passion for delivering personalised, memorable guest experiences.
  • Brand awareness is a plus, particularly within luxury and lifestyle segments, with familiarity of the Hotel Indigo brand within the IHG portfolio considered advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a natural ability to build relationships and create meaningful connections with guests and colleagues alike.
  • Technically confident, with experience using Opera Cloud or similar event and reservations systems, and the ability to quickly adapt to new platforms.
  • Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and consistency across all aspects of work.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, balancing multiple priorities with a calm, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to support operational needs, including occasional evenings, weekends, and bank holidays in line with event requirements.
