The Deputy General Manager will direct the strategic initiatives and objectives of the hotel, as well as managing day to day operations through the engagement of the team. All members of the department work together to create memorable moments for guests, in line with both company and hotel-specific service standards, and collaborate closely with other departments within the hotel. You will act as an ambassador for your own hotel and the wider Leonardo Hotels estate, demonstrating the company vision, mission and values. At all times, you will treat others around you with respect, dignity and fairness.

As a Deputy General Manager, you’ll keep the hotel running like clockwork and lead your team to ensure our guests have an incredible experience with us. Take a deep breath because you’ll be stepping into a busy role! You’ll be working alongside the General Manager to oversee operations, ensure every stay is extra special and inspire a vibrant team to exceed our guests’ expectations. We’re looking for someone with key people skills, who is great at getting the best out of their team by giving them that get-up-and-go!

As a Deputy General Manager, you will:

  • Set guest satisfaction targets and ensure these are met, using guests’ feedback and surveys
  • Lead from the front and get stuck in – you’re the face of the hotel operation!
  • Regularly inspect rooms to ensure our product is to brand standard
  • Mentor team members in your hotel, who are undertaking in-house Learning & Development programmes in support of their career
  • Collaborate with your local HR team to host engaging activities for your team
  • Host weekly operations meetings to discuss events and groups – you’ll liaise with the Meetings & Events team to ensure your hotel is ready to deliver!
