Job Description
Rate of Pay / Hours: £13.27 per hour.
Location: Hotel Du Vin, Wimbledon.
Position: Room Attendant – part of the Housekeeping team, responsible for ensuring all guest bedrooms are cleaned and presented to the highest standards every day, maintaining a tidy appearance and promptly reporting any issues.
Responsibilities
- Clean and prepare guest rooms to Hotel du Vin standards, including changing linens, vacuuming, dusting, and replenishing supplies.
- Carry out general housekeeping tasks such as maintaining cleanliness of common areas, and ensuring safety procedures are followed.
- Operate cleaning equipment and chemicals safely, following full training provided.
- Work independently during allocated shifts (typically 9 am–3 pm, 5 days out of 7) and be flexible for start times between 9 am and 10 am, as well as for contractual variations.
- Provide courteous service and interact with guests in conversational English.
- Maintain high personal fitness level to meet the physical demands of the role.
- Assist with inventory management and reporting of maintenance issues.
Qualifications & Skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to make a difference in the hotel.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Good communication skills in conversational English.
- Previous housekeeping experience is desirable but not required; training will be provided.
