For this role you would expect to handle high value enquiries which would include everything from product launches, team meetings, large conferences, social celebrations and weddings, therefore providing an exciting and varied workload within a dynamic close-knit team.Reporting to the Cluster Meetings & Events Manager, your key objectives would be to handle enquiries effectively, contract event business and ensure a strong product knowledge to execute a smooth customer journey from start to finish, including liaising on final details.Key Responsibilities & Objectives;To manage meeting, private event and wedding enquiriesTo drive occupancy and revenue for the meeting spaces within the hotelTo drive occupancy of bedrooms, for MICE enquiries with groups attachedTo work according to the SOP\’s within the brand, ensuring adoption of best practiceTo ensure high level of attention to detail for when creating proposals and function sheets for the hotels operation teamTo have the ability to develop relationships and rapport with potential clients, by adopting a consultative sales approachTo ensure all deposits and final payments are received in a timely manner as per the brand SOPTo confidently execute client site visits during their decision making processTo support the Cluster Meetings & Events Manager with any other ad-hoc tasks that are requiredWhat we\’re looking for…Communicates openly and clearly both verbally and in writingManages time and resources effectivelyPrioritizes actions and manages tasks through completion in a timely mannerActs on own initiativeHas drive and hunger for salesExpresses confidence in own ideasCan handle more than one task at a time
