As a Bartender at AC by Marriott Inverness, you are responsible for the bar, acting as a host and advisor to our guests. Your responsibilities include:
- Preparing and serving drinks and snacks.
- Mise en place: Providing an accurate, timely and complete mise en place, such as checking bar and lobby area, ordering supplies and refilling stock.
- Working according to HACCP standard processes and regulations.
- Welcoming guests, taking orders, and providing information about drinks and food.
- Preparing or communicating orders and entertaining guests.
- Opening/closing the bar in line with best practice and SOPs.
- Starting up the cashier when opening and processing payments.
- Depositing revenue in the prescribed manner and controlling cash according to procedure.
- Maintaining the bar area in a presentable way and cleaning bar and equipment at the end of the shift.
- Closing the bar at the end of the day.
- Maintaining a good working relationship and contact with direct colleagues and other departments.
- Offering assistance where needed and ensuring a high quality of service and work.
- Attending departmental meetings and training if required.
- Maintaining a clean and well-groomed appearance as required by the Marriott standards.
- Supporting the bar lead with day-to-day bar operations.
Requirements:
- Experience in the same or similar leading role.
- Knowledge about leading a team, bar menu engineering, cocktails, and beers.
- Possession of bartender training certificates is a plus.
