The Sales Executive is an enthusiastic and confident individual who plays an important supporting role within the Regional Sales team. You’ll act as a key link between customers and the hotel, helping to generate business and create great first impressions of the Moxy brand.

Based at Moxy York, you’ll support the hotel’s sales activity, with occasional travel to client meetings, local events and networking opportunities. You will assist in driving revenue by supporting the generation of new corporate, group and local business. Working closely with the wider commercial and operational teams, you’ll contribute to building relationships, promoting the hotel, and converting sales opportunities.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • Previous experience in hospitality or sales is beneficial, but not essential.
  • A positive and proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop in a sales role.
  • Interest in building client relationships and supporting business growth.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing a varied workload.
  • Basic understanding of sales systems or willingness to learn (experience with Opera, SFA Web or CRM tools is a plus).
  • Confident supporting client meetings and site visits with guidance.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

  • Sales Support & Business Development
    • Take the lead in identifying and developing new corporate, group and local business opportunities.
    • Assist with outbound sales activity such as researching potential clients, making introductory calls, and attending networking events.
    • Help maintain a pipeline of enquiries by responding to leads and supporting follow-up activity.
    • Build positive relationships with clients and local businesses through regular communication.
    • Support site inspections and client visits, ensuring a welcoming and engaging experience.
    • Collaborate closely with the Regional Commercial Team to deliver annual sales strategies and revenue goals.
  • Account Support & Administration
    • Support the management of key accounts, helping to maintain relationships and identify opportunities for repeat business.
    • Ensure all sales activity is recorded accurately within internal systems.
    • Prepare contracts, proposals and reports.
  • Sales Planning & Local Market Activity
    • Contribute to local market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities.
    • Support the delivery of local sales activities, promotions, and partnerships.
    • Represent Moxy York at selected events, trade shows, and networking opportunities.
  • Collaboration & Teamwork
    • Act as the on-property sales champion, providing knowledge and support to operational teams.
    • Work closely with Front Office, Operations, and Revenue teams to ensure a seamless guest experience.
    • Share feedback and insights with the sales and commercial teams.
    • Support a positive team environment and contribute to achieving overall hotel sales goals.
