What You’ll Be Doing

  • Taking charge of the kitchen during service, especially in the Head Chef’s absence
  • Supporting menu development with bold, inspired ideas that fit Beira’s vibe
  • Training and mentoring junior chefs on technique, consistency, and pace
  • Managing stock, supplier orders, and daily prep with an eye on quality and cost
  • Monitoring portion sizes and food waste to keep operations sharp
  • Owning standards in food hygiene, health & safety, and kitchen cleanliness
  • Helping to maintain a smooth, efficient back‑of‑house built on mutual respect

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

  • At least 2 years of experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar leadership role
  • Proven ability to run a busy kitchen with calm, control, and clarity
  • Passion for high‑quality, flavour‑led food
  • Experience managing stock, prep, and day‑to‑day kitchen systems
  • Strong organisational skills, clean working habits, and a team‑first mentality
  • Fluent in English

Desired:
