Lochrin Rooftop Bar – Moxy Edinburgh
We are looking for crew for our Lochrin Rooftop bar. Located on the top level of the Moxy Edinburgh Fountainbridge Hotel we provide international visitors and the people of Edinburgh with laidback comfort where the drinks flow liberally. Drinks are freshly prepared with flair from the bar. The staff are professional, down to earth, and chatty in a cozy and elegant venue, not to mention our outdoor terrace seating too. Our food offering includes ‘’Gusty Scran’’ and pairs with our cocktails perfectly. Sharing boards of Scottish charcuterie and our wee plates menu offer an insight into this artisanal heaven of local produce.
Open to the Public and for Private hire, you’ll be passionate about all thing’s food, drinks, and providing great service in an upmarket setting with fast‑paced service. We’ll be looking for proactive and friendly personalities to form our close‑knit team.
Main Tasks & Responsibilities
- Serving guests and creating positive experiences
- Manage all bills and payments correctly
- Prepare food, clean, tidy, restock, take deliveries, and organise BOH areas
- Follow all food safety, licensing and health and safety policies to work safely
- Cook and prepare meals to standard
- Prepare exceptional cocktails to standard
- Effective sales skills to upsell products and services
- Provide excellent customer service
- Support other team members and management
- Promote and support the bar and wider hotel
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10kg without assistance
We Are Looking For Someone With All These Things
- Passion for food and drinks
- Good with people and enjoy chatting with guests
- Skilled multitasker who can balance challenging work with great serviceKnow being relaxed is different from being lazy
- Clear communicator fluent in English (and other languages a plus!)
Useful Experience
- Experience within the Hospitality industry
- Knowledge of POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Micros
- Knowledge of Food Safety & Licensing laws
- Knowledge of a wide range of drinks
- Cocktail making experience
- Basic food preparation experience
