This position is based on a full-time contract. Gross Salary: £30,358 per year.

How exciting would it be to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment preparing food for our guests and ensuring they leave with a great all-round experience? We are looking for someone to work in our kitchen operation at Moxy Aberdeen Airport. We are a busy hotel where guests are looking for quick but nutritious meals. You don’t need to be a chef, but you do need to have a passion for food, be organized, and be able to work under pressure. Experience with Merry chefs would be advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Prepare food using Merry chefs.
  • Present food in line with brand standards.
  • Preparation, set-up, service, clean-up, and restocking of the appropriate prep areas of food.
  • Restock, take deliveries, plan orders, and organize BOH areas.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area.
  • Take full ownership of the FIFO system (first in, first out) of food items.
  • Follow all food safety policies to work safely.
  • Handle food according to HACCP regulations (product rotation, temperature maintenance, record keeping, storage procedures, etc.).
  • Maintain a positive attitude and create a lively atmosphere in the kitchen.

We’re looking for someone with Moxie, which includes:

  • High energy and a fearless, do-it-yourself attitude.
  • Passion for food.
  • Ability to multitask effectively, balancing hard work with great service and proactive thinking.
  • Clear communication skills, fluent in English (additional languages are a plus).

Useful Experience

  • Experience within the service industry.
  • Knowledge of Food Safety & Licensing laws.
  • Personal travel experience and familiarity with the travel industry.
