This position is based on a full time contract (latest finish at midnight). Gross salary: £13.27 per hour.

As a Bartender at AC by Marriott Inverness, you are responsible for the bar, acting as a host and advisor to our guests. Your responsibilities include:

  • Mise en place: Providing an accurate, timely and complete mise en place, such as checking bar and lobby area, ordering supplies and refilling stock. Working according to HACCP standard processes and regulations.
  • Bartending: Welcoming guests, taking orders, providing information about drinks and food, preparing or communicating orders, and entertaining guests. Opening/closing the bar in line with best practice and SOPs.
  • Cashiering: Starting up the cashier when opening and processing payments, depositing revenue in the prescribed manner, and controlling cash according to procedure.
  • Cleaning: Maintaining the bar area in a presentable way and cleaning the bar and equipment at the end of the shift. Responsible for closing the bar at the end of the day.
  • Others: Maintaining a good working relationship and contact with direct colleagues and other departments. Teamwork, offering assistance where needed, consistently ensuring a high quality of service and work. Attending departmental meetings and training if required. Maintaining a clean and well-groomed appearance as required by the Marriott standards. Supporting the bar lead with day-to-day bar operations.

Requirements:

  • Experience in the same or similar leading role.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Knowledge about leading a team, bar menu engineering, cocktails and beers.
  • Possession of bartender training certificates is a plus.
