Overview
This position is based on a full time contract. Gross Salary: £26299 per year.
Responsibilities
- Prepare food using Merry chefs
- Present food in line with brand standards
- Preparation, set-up, service, clean up and restocking of the appropriate prep areas of food
- Placing food orders and ensure food cost is in line with budgets
- Restock, take deliveries, plan orders, and organise BOH areas
- Cleanliness of the kitchen area
- Full ownership of FIFO system (first in first out) of food items
- Follow all food safety policies to work safely
- Food handling according to HACCP regulations (product rotation, temperature maintenance and record keeping, storage procedures etc.)
- A positive attitude and ability to create a buzz in the kitchen
Requirements / Qualifications
- You don’t need to be a chef but you do need to have a passion for food, be organised, and be able to work under pressure
- Experience of Merry chefs would be advantageous but not essential as training will be given
- Experience within the service industry
- Knowledge of Food Safety & Licensing laws
- Personal experience of travel and travel industry
- Clear communicator, fluent in English (and other languages a plus!)
