Job Title and Summary
We are looking for a Hygiene Operative to join our Hygiene Team on a permanent basis at our Distribution Centre ‘Alpha’ in St.
Neots, Cambridgeshire.
This role focuses on maintaining the highest standards of food safety and cleanliness within the packing facility.
Shift Pattern
Rotating weekly shifts: 6am – 2pm and 2pm – 10pm.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow cleaning schedules and tasks as directed by Hygiene Team Leaders.
- Carry out deep cleaning and periodic tasks in accordance with the Hygiene Schedule.
- Disassemble and reassemble equipment in a trained, methodical manner.
- Deliver right-first-time cleaning in each shift using defined food‑safe parameters.
- Own the hygiene standards of your designated area and be accountable for delivery.
- Maintain and improve cleaning standards within each business zone on a shift‑by‑shift basis.
- Ensure adherence to all site technical, health & safety policies and operating practices.
- Handle chemicals safely and professionally.
Qualifications and Experience
- Good verbal and written English.
- Experience in a food manufacturing environment.
- Experience working within a hygiene team (desirable).
- Experience handling chemicals.
- Ability to work independently within procedural parameters.
