As we continue our mission to make people and nature happy through reinventing chocolate, we’re looking for a Site Services Lead to join our Engineering team on a permanent basis.

Salary: £54,000 to £56,650 (dependent on experience)

Location: Factory ‘Hadley Park’, Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire. 5 minutes off the A141 and 1.3 miles from Huntingdon train station with direct rail links to London King’s Cross.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with Safety, Health and Environmental requirements in line with the Health & Safety Policy and Procedures.
  • Manage contractor agreements including Permits to Work, RAMS, etc.
  • Operate and maintain the water treatment plant to meet required and legal discharge levels.
  • Maintain compliance and upkeep of boilers, chillers, air compressors, amenities, LOLER, COSHH and other site services.
  • Deliver reactive and preventative maintenance to assure operational reliability.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce energy consumption across the site.
  • Model and enforce all Health and Safety Policies and Safe Systems of Work.
  • Ensure Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food safety standards are maintained in all work.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with colleagues within the department and cross‑functionally.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of all work carried out and provide detailed handover between shifts.
  • Contribute actively to the culture of Continuous Improvement, adopting lean processes and delivering optimal ROI.
  • Promote and reinforce the vision and culture of Hotel Chocolat, acting as an ambassador for its values.
  • Communicate effectively to keep everyone informed of work and intentions.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in food manufacturing.
  • Demonstrable site service management experience.
  • Strong compliance and legal knowledge of site services.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge and relevant qualifications.
  • Ability to plan, organise and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Previous examples of reducing site energy consumption.
  • Time served apprenticeship plus industrial experience.
