Role Overview: As a Business Development Manager, you’ll be responsible for bringing new business in, helping hospitality venues increase their visibility and grow their presence through our innovative multi-site venue listing platform. You will also build relationships with companies supporting them with any corporate event planning. This role will involve face-to-face and virtual meetings. You will be based in your territory and have a great knowledge of the area and businesses within it. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth of the hospitality sector while working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Ideal candidates must live in their territory and have a great knowledge of the hospitality world.
Key Responsibilities:- Sales & Relationship Building: Identify and secure new venue opportunities within the hospitality sector. Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers.
- Client Acquisition: Target and convert leads by clearly articulating the benefits of Hotaly, ensuring venues understand the value of being in partnership.
- Product Knowledge & Demonstrations: Leverage your deep understanding of Hotaly’s capabilities to conduct effective demos and presentations.
- Market Development: Identify trends and opportunities within the market, crafting tailored solutions for clients.
- Sales Pipeline Management: Own and manage your sales pipeline, ensuring timely follow-ups and maintaining a high conversion rate.
- Industry Networking: Attend industry events and conferences to expand your network, identify prospects, and stay ahead of market trends.
- Identify and Target Key Corporate Clients: Research and identify companies in your area that host corporate meetings, away days, conferences, and other events. Build relationships with decision-makers to understand their needs and offer our platform as the best solution for booking venues.
- Support the Event Sales Team: Work closely with the Event Sales Team to understand client needs and help provide venue options. Assist in making the booking process smoother, ensuring the team can secure corporate events and deliver great customer experiences.
- Reporting & Analytics: Track and report sales performance, pipeline progression, and market feedback to the Sales Director.
- Proven success in a business development or sales role, ideally within the hospitality industry or related sectors.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with experience in building long-term client relationships.
- Knowledge of subscription-based sales models and an ability to articulate value propositions effectively.
- A passion for hospitality and an understanding of venue operations and challenges.
- Self-motivated, organised, and results-driven, with a keen eye for detail and time management.
