Role Overview

As a Business Development Manager, you’ll be responsible for bringing in new business and helping hospitality venues increase their visibility and grow their presence through our multi-site venue listing platform. You will also build relationships with companies supporting them with corporate event planning. The role involves face-to-face and virtual meetings. You will be based in your territory with strong knowledge of the area and its businesses.

This is an opportunity to contribute to the growth of the hospitality sector in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Ideal candidates must live in the territory and have a strong understanding of the hospitality world.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales & Relationship Building: Identify and secure new venue opportunities within the hospitality sector. Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Client Acquisition: Target and convert leads by articulating the benefits of Hotaly and the value of partnership to venues.
  • Product Knowledge & Demonstrations: Use deep knowledge of Hotaly’s capabilities to conduct effective demos and presentations.
  • Market Development: Identify trends and opportunities, crafting tailored solutions for clients.
  • Sales Pipeline Management: Own and manage your sales pipeline, with timely follow-ups and high conversion rates.
  • Industry Networking: Attend events to expand your network, identify prospects, and stay ahead of market trends.
  • Corporate Clients: Research and engage companies that host corporate meetings and events; build relationships with decision-makers to offer our platform as a venue-booking solution.
  • Support the Event Sales Team: Collaborate with the Event Sales Team to understand client needs and help provide venue options; assist in smoothing the booking process.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Track and report sales performance, pipeline progression, and market feedback to the Sales Director.

  • Proven success in a business development or sales role, ideally within hospitality or related sectors.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills with experience building long-term client relationships.
  • Knowledge of subscription-based sales models and the ability to articulate value propositions.
  • A passion for hospitality and an understanding of venue operations and challenges.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and results-driven with strong time-management and attention to detail.
