The role
You’ll work across both purchase and sales ledgers, help with month-end and learn how a busy finance function works day to day. It’s a good role for someone who likes accurate work, a varied to-do list and plenty of chances to learn.
Accounts Payable
- Manage the shared Accounts Payable inbox, responding to supplier and internal queries promptly and professionally.
- Raise purchase orders in line with company procedures.
- Reconcile supplier statements, investigating and resolving any discrepancies.
- Assist with the preparation and processing of supplier payment runs
Accounts Receivable
- Manage the shared Accounts Receivable inbox, responding to customer and internal queries.
- Maintain sales ledger accounts across our e-commerce platforms, ensuring information is accurate and up to date.
- Support the maintenance of pricing files across our e-commerce platforms. Month-End and Reconciliations
- Assist with month-end activities, supporting the Finance team to meet reporting deadlines.
- Carry out regular bank reconciliations.
- Help ensure financial records remain accurate, complete and up to date. Finance Administration
- Carry out a variety of finance administration tasks, including filing and record keeping.
- Support the Finance team with ad hoc tasks and projects as required.
Position Requirements
- A relevant accounting qualification such as AAT
- Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant or similar role.
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in producing accurate work.
- Confident user of Microsoft Excel and the wider Microsoft Office Suite.
