hosted·ai is building the infrastructure layer for the next generation of GPU clouds. We work with telcos, service providers, neoclouds, data centres and infrastructure owners around the world, helping them build and operate GPU businesses. We're around 65 people across four continents, growing very quickly, and very well funded. We've raised ~$24m across our pre-seed and seed rounds from Creandum and other top-tier VCs, giving us the capital to build aggressively in a market that is moving incredibly fast.

We're looking for a Chief of Staff to work directly with our CEO. This is a broad operating role that cuts across the company. Some of the work is external - partners, customers, investors and strategic opportunities. Just as much is internal - projects, decisions, processes and workstreams that span multiple teams and need someone strong to take ownership. At any given time, you'll typically own four to six projects, processes or workstreams in parallel, alongside the recurring machinery of running the company: board meetings, investor updates, planning cycles, trips and other monthly, quarterly and annual processes. Some projects might last a week, others six months. Once something lands with you, the expectation is that you take ownership and keep it moving. This is not an EA role. We're looking for someone who can independently own complicated commercial, analytical and strategic work and operate as a genuine extension of the CEO.

Your work will vary significantly, but could include:

  • Driving strategic and cross-functional projects from idea through execution
  • Supporting major partner and customer opportunities
  • Building financial and commercial models
  • Preparing board materials and investor updates
  • Turning management discussions into clear decisions, owners and next steps
  • Building or improving internal processes
  • Preparing strategic meetings, negotiations and international trips
  • Working across product, commercial, operations and finance teams
  • Supporting fundraising, corporate development and occasional M&A work
  • Making sure important work doesn't lose momentum when priorities shift

What we're looking for:

  • Exceptional analytical ability is probably the most important requirement.
  • You should have very strong modelling and logical skills, and be able to take something complicated and messy, break it down quickly and get to a sensible answer.
  • You also need a genuinely technical mind. You don't have to code, but you should naturally want to understand how the infrastructure works and be comfortable holding your own with engineers and CTOs.
  • You need to write extremely well. A large part of this job is taking complicated information and making it clear enough that other people can act on it.
  • You should also be comfortable operating independently. You won't receive a task list every morning. Often you'll be given a problem, project or outcome and expected to work out how to get there.
  • The role requires being comfortable with a lot happening at once. On the same day, you might move between a financial model, a partner negotiation, an internal operating issue and a board discussion.
  • Likely backgrounds include strategy consulting, VC, investment banking, high-growth technology companies or having built something yourself.
  • We're roughly thinking four to eight years of experience, but ability matters considerably more than years.

You need to be based in an EU or APAC timezone. US timezones will not work well for this role given where the CEO, team and most of the relevant partner activity are based. The company is distributed and international, and some travel should be expected.

You'll be in many of the same rooms as the CEO - with partners, investors, the board and senior people across the company. You'll get unusually broad exposure to how a fast-growing infrastructure company is built, significant responsibility from the beginning and meaningful equity.

In short, we're looking for someone who is:

  • Extremely analytical, technically curious and a very strong communicator.
  • Able to independently own complicated commercial and strategic work across multiple things at once.
  • Not looking for an EA role, but for the opportunity to become a genuine extension of the CEO.
