About Magnetic
Magnetic is the UK’s largest independent innovation and digital design studio.
We solve problems and unlock potential for organisations. We help them change and innovate at pace. We work alongside clients to create products, services and strategies, enabling them to transform themselves and thrive in a changing world.
We’re expanding fast to keep up with demand. We are recruiting consultants at every level and pay grade, from Consultants to Managing Consultants. We have studios in London and Manchester.
Most Magnetic consultants share a common base of skills. These include proposition design, customer research, business design, experimentation, change management, hustle, and the ability to make things happen. More senior people within the organisation bring skills around leadership, coaching, business development, and client empathy.
Our most senior consultants often have rich, long-term experience of consulting work across multiple sectors. Some have deep sector experience. They tend to have a large book of contacts, a commercial mindset and the ability to nurture and develop talent at every level.
Some of us are specialists in fields like service design, customer research, foresight, programme management or behavioural science, others are generalists. However, all of our Consultants come up with innovative ideas, solve problems creatively and shape these into logical, coherent solutions that centre around our clients\' needs. We synthesise data and insights into actionable recommendations, turning them into viable concepts and prototypes.
We work with a broad range of organisations across different sectors. Recent clients include Bupa, National Grid, Mars Wrigley, Innovate UK, Google, Fulham Football Club and Save The Children.
We’re particularly proud of recent work we’ve done around helping organisations make sense of the future of work, embedding Net Zero in large organisations, creating sustainable business models in the media, driving innovation in engineering companies, building purpose and growth in the third sector and creating life-enhancing health tech products for hard-to-reach communities.
We’ve hired lifetime consultants, people making career changes from industry specialism, and everything in between. We are committed to promoting a diverse and inclusive workplace - a place where we can all be ourselves. We offer a range of family-friendly, inclusive employment policies and flexible working arrangements.
