About the Venue

A well-established, premium country inn and estate operating 7 days a week, offering:

  • Breakfast, lunch & dinner service

This is a fast-paced, multi-revenue stream business requiring strong leadership and attention to detail.

The Role

As Deputy General Manager, you'll work closely with the GM to lead from the front, ensuring exceptional service standards and driving commercial performance across all areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead service across breakfast, lunch & dinner with a strong floor presence
  • Oversee and deliver events & shoot parties to a high standard
  • Train, develop and motivate a high-performing FOH team
  • Manage labour, GP, stock control and daily operations
  • Ensure compliance with H&S, licensing and company standards
  • Act as Duty Manager, maintaining visibility across the business
  • Collaborate with kitchen and estate teams to deliver seasonal, seamless experiences

About You

  • Current Deputy GM / Restaurant Manager / FOH Leader in a quality-led environment
  • Experience in premium pubs, hotels, or multi-outlet venues
  • Events experience (or exposure to high-volume functions) highly desirable
  • Strong commercial awareness and financial understanding
  • Calm under pressure with a people-first leadership style
  • Flexible to work 5 days over 7 (including evenings/weekends)

Package

  • Salary: Up to £40,000
  • Bonus: 20% (c. £8,000)
  • Tronc: £8,000-£10,000
  • Accommodation: 1‑bed flat available (£80 per week)
  • 3‑Month term to assist with relocation
  • Schedule: 5 days over 7
