Overseeing the operational standards and leadership of Restaurant, Bar & Lounge, sports bar & Events. A property that has seen extensive refurbishment over the last 3 years and is now recognised as a leading leisure hotel within the Yorkshire region. A quality focused operation offering excellent food quality along with resort style facilities.
Main purpose of the role: To ensure the smooth running of our Front of House Food and Beverage operations including a busy all day Restaurant (1 AA Rosette), main residents lounge bar, Events and Conferences and sport bar.
Main duties of the role:
- The ability to manage, motivate & delegate tasks to your team.
- Create an effective rota to deliver the service standards in all outlets.
- Recruit, train, coach and develop all team members in the bars supporting other hiring Managers with recruitment needs.
- Ability to work in different areas of Food & Beverage including Breakfast, Bar, Restaurant, In Room Dining and Conference & Events support with liquor stocks including counting and analysing feedback.
- To ensure the team can manage guest queries in a timely and efficient manner.
- Create and develop the brand standards to keep moving the business forward, making it a destination for the residential and non-residential clientele.
- To ensure that the team are fully trained on the product including all facilities and service standards expectations.
- Ensure target KPIs including guest spend and guest satisfaction scores are met.
- To ensure standards of procedure are in place and followed by the team.
- To ensure all relevant legislation, compliance and procedures in employment law, health and safety, food safety, liquor licensing is followed by all the team at all times.
- Lead the departmental induction of new starters and ensure they are fully competent in the role.
- Ensure consumable, food, liquor is maintained at a level suitable for the business.
- Control all costs through payroll and stock control.
- To ensure that Liquor stocks are monitored and controlled and ensure orders are placed in a timely manner.
- To ensure all relevant legislation and procedures in food safety and liquor licensing is followed by all the team at all times.
