The Role
We’re looking for a Night Porter to ensure the safety, security, and comfort of our guests throughout the night. This is a varied and hands-on role where no two nights are the same. From welcoming late arrivals and assisting with check-ins to carrying out security checks and preparing for the next day’s events, you’ll be the reassuring presence that keeps everything running smoothly after dark.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Providing a warm and professional welcome to late-arriving guests.
- Handling check-in and check-out procedures during night hours.
- Monitoring the premises with regular patrols to ensure safety and security.
- Responding to guest inquiries and room service requests promptly.
- Assisting with early morning setups for breakfast or events.
- Carrying out light cleaning duties to maintain public areas.
- Completing night audit procedures and preparing handovers for the morning team.
- Responding to emergencies or alarms in line with hotel procedures.
- Ensuring all exits, doors, and windows are secure overnight.
- You may be required to support in the set up for events.
- There may be some requirement to support at our other site (Mill Farm Sports Village).
About You
You’ll be reliable, proactive, and thrive in a role that requires independence and responsibility. You’ll have great attention to detail, a friendly manner, and the ability to stay calm under pressure. We’re looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in reception duties (PMS knowledge is a plus).
- Polite, approachable, and professional.
- Reliable with excellent timekeeping.
