Head Chef – Staff Canteen North London | £32,000–£36,000 per year | 7:00am–3:00pm
Hospitality Hunters is looking for an experienced Head Chef to lead the kitchen at a busy head office staff canteen. This is a great opportunity for a hands-on chef who enjoys creating food people look forward to, leading a close-knit team and keeping a kitchen running smoothly.
You'll oversee the day-to-day food operation, from menu planning and preparation through to service, ordering and food safety. The offering includes a varied, buffet-style selection, so you'll need to be confident producing appealing food at pace while maintaining quality and consistency.

What you'll be doing
Leading and supporting a kitchen team of up to four people.
Planning menus and preparing a varied selection of dishes for daily service.
Cooking and presenting food to a consistently high standard.
Managing food ordering, stock levels, rotation and portion control.
Keeping waste under control and making effective use of ingredients.
Maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness, food safety and kitchen organisation.
Managing allergen controls, dietary requirements and food safety records.
Helping develop the menu and improve the staff dining experience.
What we're looking for
Previous experience as a Head Chef, Senior Chef or in a similar leadership role.
A current Level 3 Food Hygiene and Allergen qualification — essential.
Experience leading a kitchen or catering team.
Strong food safety, allergen and hygiene knowledge.
Confidence with menu planning, ordering and stock control.
A calm, organised approach and clear communication.
A hands-on attitude and pride in serving good food.
Experience in a staff canteen, contract catering or another high-volume food operation would be an advantage. A professional cookery qualification is also desirable.
Salary of £32,000–£36,000 , depending on experience.
Daytime hours: 7:00am–3:00pm .
