Hospices of Hope is the leading palliative care development charity for South and East Europe, supporting adults and children with terminal and life-limiting illness across Albania, Greece, Moldova, Romania, Serbia and Ukraine. We work through trusted local partners to ensure compassionate, dignified care for those who need it most.
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Income Generation Director to join our Senior Leadership Team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the charity. This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for leading and growing all income-generating activity across fundraising, retail and communications. Working closely with the Chief Executive Officer and Trustees, the postholder will provide strategic direction, lead a multi-disciplinary team and act as a key ambassador for Hospices of Hope.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the development and delivery of the income generation strategy
- Provide strategic oversight of fundraising, retail and communications
- Drive sustainable growth across major donors, corporate partnerships, trusts and foundations, events and digital fundraising
- Line manage the Head of Retail and the Fundraising and Communications Manager
- Play an active role in major donor and high-value relationship building
- Contribute to organisation-wide leadership as a member of the Senior Leadership Team
- Deputise for the CEO when required
You will bring:
- A proven track record in income generation, fundraising or business development
- Experience of leading teams and delivering sustained income growth
- Strong relationship-building, influencing and communication skills
- Strategic thinking combined with a practical, hands-on approach
- A genuine commitment to the mission and values of Hospices of Hope
- Experience of charity retail, international fundraising or working with Boards of Trustees would be an advantage.
- A senior leadership role with real influence
